Individual Counselling
During an individual counselling session you meet one-on-one with your counsellor in order to work through your concerns. Topics people discuss in individual counselling are often dealing with unresolved issues stemming from their upbringing, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, past unresolved trauma, experiences of abuse (past or current), dealing with difficult emotions and communication/relationship skills.
The therapeutic process involves examining your thoughts and feelings to get a better understanding about yourself and your true goals in life. Furthermore, it will address what stands in the way of achieving your goals and explore how to overcome these barriers. It might involve learning new skills, exploring different ways of thinking about something, trying out new behaviours and letting go of things which don't serve your health and well-being anymore. This will give you a greater flexibility and creativity to deal with opportunities and stresses in your life.
